“…Blending PMMA and PVDF (PMMA/PVDF, simplified as PAPF) could effectively improve U d and η of the nanocomposites. 37,40,41 Herein, low ε r BOC nanosheets and linear PMMA were filled into PVDF to prepare x vol % BOC/ PAPF nanocomposites, in which the 50 vol % PAPF (simplified as PAPF) blended polymer film was selected owing to its high polarization and E b . Both experimental and simulation results prove that dielectric mismatch is avoided in the x vol % BOC/PAPF nanocomposites due to the proper ε r of 2D BOC nanosheets, preventing nanocomposites from the concentration and distortion of local electric fields.…”

“…Nonetheless, BOC nanosheets have never been reported as a nanofiller in nanocomposites for dielectric energy storage applications. By the way, poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) delivers high U d but low charge–discharge efficiency (η) in comparison with linear organic polymer dielectric materials . Low η means that the stored energy could not be effectively discharged but accumulates in dielectric capacitors in the form of Joule heat, which results in a reduced energy storage characteristic and a shortened cycle life of dielectric capacitors. , Therefore, it remains an enormous challenge and imperious demand to simultaneously enhance the U d and η of polymer-based nanocomposites.…”

“…11 The most common approach to acquire high dielectric constant DE film is introducing high ε 0 ceramics into the matrix, such as BT, TiO 2 , and CCTO. For instance, Zhou 12 and coworkers constructed a sandwich nanostructure comprising BT and PVDF embedded into PMMA matrix. The results indicate that PMMA/BT-PVDF showed a higher ε r than that of PMMA.…”

“…As a result, the energy density of multilayer films is higher than that of the single-layered films. For example, the PMMA−(PMMA/BT−PVDF)−PMMA sandwich-structured composites were designed by Zhou, 28 illustrating an ultrahigh E b of 418.2 MV/m and a high discharge energy density of 4.4 J cm −3 .…”
