Abstract:Gradient clock synchronization (GCS) algorithms minimize the worst-case clock offset between the nodes in a distributed network of diameter π· and size π. They achieve optimal offsets of Ξ(log π·) locally, i.e. between adjacent nodes [18], and Ξ(π·) globally [2].
