Gradiente Latitudinal da Beta Diversidade da Fauna Acompanhante das Pescarias Industriais de Camarões Marinhos da Costa Norte do Brasil

Abstract

RESUMO.A pesca industrial de camarões no Norte do Brasil é praticada por embarcações equipadas com redes de arrasto que apresentam baixa seletividade, capturando elevada quantidade de organismos não pertencentes à espécie-alvo, gerando uma grande biomassa de fauna acompanhante. Este trabalho objetivou realizar o levantamento da composição e distribuição da ictiofauna acompanhante proveniente de pescarias industriais de camarão-rosa, no período de maio de 2010 a junho de 2011. Foram monitorados sete embarques, totalizando 151 dias de viagem, contabilizando 461 lances. Considerou-se as seguintes subdivisões: Plataforma Continental do Pará (CPA); Foz do Rio Amazonas (FAM); e Plataforma Continental do Amapá (CAP). A ordem mais abundante foi Perciformes (68,91 %). A família Sciaenidae se destacou com 55,89% de ocorrência e a espécie mais representativa foi Macrodon ancylodon (23,48%). A FAM e CAP são áreas com maior diversidade biológica, maior densidade por espécies e composição da íctiofauna semelhante. Essa similaridade, entre FAM e CAP, pode ser explicada pelo efeito da corrente das Guianas, que transporta grande parte da descarga dos rios da bacia Amazônica ao longo da costa do Amapá, resultando em uma região de elevada produtividade. O monitoramento de pesca de arrasto de camarões na costa norte do Brasil poderá contribuir na manutenção dos estoques de espécies típicas da fauna acompanhante deste recurso, como Macrodon ancylodon e Stellifer rastrifer que, devido a elevada frequência de ocorrência nas pescarias, sofrem maior impacto desse sistema de pesca.
