Grain yield and quality of new winter wheat varieties in the Orel region

Abstract: Relevance. Winter wheat is one of the main food crops. The introduction of new high-yield varieties and intensive 'high-yield technology' aims to produce high-quality grain of grade 3 or higher, which has high baking qualities.Methods. The production experiment was conducted out in 2019-2021 in Oryol district of Oryol region. The experimental field was surveyed using the OneSoil precision farming platform. The chlorophyll index was measured using a Yara N-tester. The counts and observations were made according… Show more

“…According to the data of soil scientists and researchers [8,9], for the land of the globe, humus reserves are as follows 2,2х10 12 t energized 12хI0 18 kcal, while the total land biomass (including humus, litter, higher plants, microorganisms, etc.) is equal to 5.5х10 12 t dry organic matter with energy content 27.5х10 18 kcal, i.e., about 50% of the biomass and energy reserves of the land are humus substances.…”

“…They affect ear, grain, stem bases and root system of plants. Diseases caused by these micromycetes occupy the leading place among cereal diseases by their prevalence and harmfulness [12,13]. Significant damage to wheat grain production is caused by spikelet fusarium, which is widespread in many countries of Europe, America, Canada, and Australia.…”
