Gram-Scale Synthesis of Graphene Quantum Dots from Single Carbon Atoms Growth via Energetic Material Deflagration

Abstract: Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) with quantum confine and size effect is proposed to be applicable in photovoltaic, nano devices and so on, due to extraordinary electronic and optical properties. Here we report a facile approach to synthesize gram-scale GQDs from active carbon atoms, which are obtained via the deflagration reaction of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and Si, growing from highto low-temperature zones when travelling through the deflagration flame in a short time with releasing gas as the carrier medi… Show more

“…By a modified Hummers's method according to reference, α-ZrP was prepared. 17 ZHS@α-ZrP was prepared by coprecipitation; 2.0g α-ZrP was dissolved in 100-mL deionized water. Then, 2.97 g Zn (NO 3 ) 2 ·6H 2 O was dissolved in 45mL ultrapure water to prepare solution, and it was added into the beaker to be magnetically stirred for 6 hours.…”
