“…The actual frequency of granuloma in CD synovium may be underestimated since very few histologic studies are available. There are at least two reports of synovial granulomata in CD synovium with one case where the histologic findings in the joint led the investigations to confirm the diagnosis of CD by colonoscopy [39,40].
