“…None of these studies have evaluated different antibiotic regimens. Numerous case reports have been published, for instance cases describing the clinical course of patients with Lemierre's syndrome [19 ▪ ] or granulomatosis with polyangiitis [23 ▪ ,24 ▪ ,25 ▪ ] highlighting the many differential diagnoses to consider. A few case reports also described new diagnostic tools including radiomics and metagenomic NGS [29 ▪ ,35 ▪ ,36 ▪ ,37 ▪ ] which could inspire future studies.…”

“…Cavitating lung nodules can also be seen due to granulomatosis with polyangiitis, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, nodular silicosis, and pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Recently, three cases have been published discussing granulomatosis with polyangiitis initially presenting as a presumed LA [23 ▪ ,24 ▪ ,25 ▪ ]. Another rare condition, gelatinous transformation of the bone marrow, was recently described in a young woman with anorexia nervosa, mimicking LA [26].…”
