Green Magnetic Nanoparticles CoFe2O4@Nb5O2 Applied in Paracetamol Removal

Jessica R. P. Oliveira,
Laura S. Ribas,
Jose S. Napoli
et al.

Abstract: This study describes the synthesis of an innovative nanomaterial (patent application number BR 1020210000317) composed of cobalt ferrite functionalized in niobium pentoxide CoFe2O4@Nb5O2 (CFNb), synthesized via green synthesis using tangerine peel extract. The material emphasizes the combination of a magnetic material (which allows for easy recovery after application) with niobium pentoxide (a metal which is abundant in Brazil). CFNb was applied as a catalyst for the paracetamol (PCT) degradation by photocatal… Show more

“…Among the electrochemical methods is cyclic voltammetry (CV), which offers great versatility to study electroactive substances. Currently, a wide variety of nanomaterials have been designed for the modification of electroactive surfaces, and to optimize the determination of electroactive compounds of interest by increasing their surface and adsorption sites, improving the selective interactions between the electrode and the substance, and achieving a greater sensitivity and performance [12][13][14][15][16][17].…”
