Green Synthesis of 8‐Hydroxyquinoline Barium as Visible‐Light‐Excited Luminescent Material Using Mechanochemical Activation Method (Global Challenges 12/2019)
Abstract:In article number https://doi.org/10.1002/gch2.201900052, Xueming Zhong and co‐workers propose a mechanochemical activation method to synthesize 8‐hydroxyquinoline barium, which is of interest as a luminescent material for energy applications. The synthesized material can photoluminesce under 408 nm visible light and has a higher crystallinity and smaller particle size than that synthesized by the traditional liquid‐phase method.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
