Background:
Biogenic synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) are attracting due to the its ecological benefits, cheaper,
rapid, and sustainable nature. Among them, Nickel oxide NPs (NiO-NPs) are acquisition the varied catalytic and clinical
applications, as they have antibacterial, antifungal, cytotoxicity, anticancer, antioxidant, remediation, enzyme inhibition
properties etc. Though, several chemical dependent methods were applied for the fabrication of nanoparticles, but due to
their substantial disadvantages mainly toxicity, higher cost synthesis methods, the more secure, greener, eco-friendly, costeffective
synthetic methods are in demand. Greener approaches can take away the arduousness and complications of
physicochemical methods.
Conclusion:
The present review is aiming to displayed the recent advancement related to the catalytic activity, antimicrobial
activity, cytotoxicity and antioxidant application of green synthesized Nickle and Nickle oxide nanoparticles are highlighted
as well as their sustainable synthesis options have been discussed.
