“…Other metal and metal oxide nanomaterials Many more plant-derived metal and metal oxide nanoparticles have been used for biological, environmental, and industrial applications. For instance, Nickel oxide nanoparticles, [88] Platinum nanoparticles, [89] Palladium nanoparticles, [90] Aluminium oxide nanoparticles, [91] Silica nanoparticles, [92] Magnesium oxide nanoparticles, [93] and Cobalt nanoparticles. [94] Detailed discussion of these plant-derived nanoparticles is beyond the scope of this review article.…”

“…To obtain silica with high purity metal oxides which are present as impurities defeats this goal to a certain extent. Thus, purification strategies are required to improve purity, such as thermochemical processes [17,18].…”

“…However, these silica precursors often have notable environmental impacts due to energy-intensive processes and solvent usage. Consequently, sodium silicate solution, with a minimal environmental impact, is being investigated as a versatile precursor for various silica products including construction materials, [10][11][12] porous silica, [13][14][15][16][17] and aluminosilicate zeolites. [18][19][20][21][22] In our previous study, we successfully synthesized diverse porous silica products, specifically mesoporous silica (MPS).…”
