Green synthetic route of carbon quantum dot‐reinforced graphene oxide‐poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexa fluoropropylene) nanocomposites: Toward high dielectric constant and suppressed loss

Abstract: A simple and green method was developed to fabricate carbon quantum dot@ graphene oxide filled poly (vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexa‐fluoropropylene) [CQD@GO‐P(VDF‐HFP)] nanocomposite films via solution casting technique. The synthetic approach was to bring CQD from bilva leafs, a renewable and sustainable resource. The effect of CQD on dielectric properties, dielectric constant, and dielectric loss in the presence of GO along with P (VDF‐HFP) matrix were investigated. The result showed that the nanocomposites hav… Show more

“…At ambient temperature, these composites show both electric and magnetic hysteresis. [17,18] On the other hand, polymeric materials have good flexibility and suitable film-forming ability, better electrical resistance, and relatively high breakdown strength owing to which they can be widely used in the field of electronic industries. [19,20] Moreover, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is extensively used as a polymer matrix to fabricate polymer composites due to its easy processing, good film-forming ability, low cost, and excellent solubility in water.…”

“…43 They possess a high dielectric constant of 144, attributed to the Maxwell Wagner-Sillars effect. 44 Additionally, the quantum size effect is a prominent strategy employed in the design and fabrication of exceptional electromagnetic microwave absorption materials. Prof. Wu rational designed ZnFe 2 O 4 QDs coated by hybrid amorphous carbon as effective EMW absorption materials.…”

“…Quantum dots (QDs) are zero-dimensional nano-level semiconductors, [43] and can reach a high dielectric constant of 144, which was ascribed to Maxwell Wagner-Sillars or interfacial polarization. [44] Moreover, the quantum size effect is a foregrounded strategy to design and fabricate excellent electromagnetic microwave absorption materials. Prof. Wu rational designed ZnFe2O4 QDs coated by hybrid amorphous carbon as effective EMW absorption materials.…”
