This research article presenting the maximum power point tracking method which is further used in grid connected PV system under varying solar irradiance, Ambient air temperature and different wind velocities during winter season. The experimental setup is equipped on an indirect type of solar dryer to enhance the overall pick-up efficiency of solar dryer during rainy and winter season. As the output of PV panel is non-linear due to winters. Hence the output current and output voltage from PV panel also behave as non-linear characteristics. Therefore, at different environment conditions solar PV panel needs to set its MPP. In order to operate the proposed PV system to optimized MPP range, RSM (Response Surface Methodology) technique implemented to get optimized parametric constants for solar PV panel for maximum efficiency output from solar PV panel. In addition to this control unit and auxiliary power unit for solar dryer is also connected with grid through buck boost converter. After careful investigation this paper shows the effect of temperature rise which leads to decrease in efficiency of control unit and slight increase of resistance in circuitry. Therefore, in this research a natural convection cooling method is equipped with circuit to maintain the optimum temperature which results in max efficiency within optimum desirable range for solar drying.
