Abstract:Group transfer polymerization (GTP) plays a crucial role in polymerizing (methyl) acrylate. The utilization of cheap and easily synthesized thiourea anion (TUA) combined with pinacolborane (HBpin) undergoes controlled GTPs of methyl methacrylate (MMA), methacrylate (MA), and α‐methylenebutyrolactone (MBL) at ambient temperature.
