Growth and yield of pagoda (Brassica narinosa L) with concentration and watering interval of fermented rabbit urine on hydroponic system

Abstract: Organic fertilization is the addition of nutrients that are beneficial for plant growth and yield and can improve soil fertility and quality. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of fermented urine rabbit concentration and watering interval as well of interaction of both on the growth and yield of pagoda (Brassica narinosa L). The first factor is consentration of fermented rabbit urine, 50 ml−1, 75 ml−1, and 100 ml−1. The second factor is watering interval every 2 days, 3 days and 4 days. The res… Show more

“…Fertilization is essential to plant growth and development. Fertilizer deficiency will cause plants to perform poorly throughout the vegetative and reproductive periods, hence reducing crop yields [1]. Organic fertilizers may be solids or liquids created from organic materials obtained from animals or plants or degraded agricultural waste with the aid of decomposers.…”

“…Liquid organic fertilizers can be absorbed more quickly by plants to meet the nutritional needs of plants. They are easier to use because the elements in them are seen more quickly [1]. Organic waste from traditional markets is a significant source of liquid organic fertilizers, which may be found in both rural and urban regions [4].…”

“…Apart from being used as a biopesticide, rabbit urine is also an excellent organic fertilizer. For instance, rabbit urine has been used as a biofertilizer to improve the viability of seeds of crops such as cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii L.) [22] and the growth and yield of pagoda (Brassica narinosa L.) [23] and tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) [24].…”
