“…Most participants were willing to adopt technology and have expressed regret over their inability to handle various technologies with dexterity. The study results comply with the research findings of Naumanen (2009) according to whom the motivation of ICT usage by older people lies in their desire to keep themselves updated with the technological development to avoid being considered lazy, stupid or indifferent. The non-users, however, often cited lack of interest, lack of relevance, complexity associated with learning to use technology and concern over security or fraudulent information as the reasons for non-use.…”

“…The findings indicate that DL is connected with collaborative learning and sharing; the students enjoyed creating digital stories, and they gained 21 st century skills in the process of doing so. DL has also been explored in the context of ICT education for seniors (Naumanen and Tukiainen, 2009). The findings indicate that elderly individuals are capable of and excited about gaining ICT skills, as they are motivated by younger acquaintances as well as by novelty and practicality.…”

Hence, researchers conducted studies about the interaction between the elderly motivation and their purchase decisions [4], physical and sport activity [5][6], psychological adjustment in nursing homes [7], family interactions [8] and workplace performance [9], [10], volunteering for social activities and leisure participation [11], [12], and, what is particularly important for the scope of our paper, use of internet-based communication and use of computing technologies [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18]. A separate aspect of this research is also connected to investigation into the use of ICT resources in medical treatment of older adults [19].…”
