Guideline adherence and control of diabetes mellitus with or without co-morbidities in various wards of a tertiary hospital in Malaysia

Abstract: To assess the adherence of physicians involved in the management of diabetes mellitus with or without co-morbidities with reference to Clinical Practice Guideline 2009 given by Ministry of Health Malaysia in the tertiary care hospital, Pinang General Hospital Malaysia. “…The outcomes of the current study showed that at the follow-up visits, the majority of the patients enrolled in this study were moved toward insulin therapy or dual therapy, but this ratio was comparatively higher in the intervention arm as opposed to the control arm.
