Guidelines in Practice: Prevention of Perioperative Pressure Injury

Abstract: Immobility and lack of sensation during perioperative procedures increase the risk of patients developing pressure injuries (PIs). Such injuries can cause pain and result in serious infections, thereby leading to increased health care costs.
