Abstract:Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic and relapsing inflammatory disorder that includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis involves the distal colon, proximal colon, and cecum and can lead to ulcerations and bleeding.
