Abstract: The recently identified swine inflammation and necrosis syndrome (SINS) occurs in high prevalence from newborn piglets to fattening pigs and resembles an important concern for animal welfare. The primary endogenous syndrome affects the tail, ears, teats, coronary bands, claws and heels.
