Abstract:The rearrangement of H-atoms is studied in the interaction of energetic (50-2000 keV) H + and Ar q+ (q = 1, 8) ions with NH 3 . The technique of recoil ion momentum spectrometry is used to obtain various dissociation channels involved in these collision events. The variation of the relative yields of the H 2 + and H 3 + ions is obtained as a function of the interaction strength q/v, where q and v are the charge state and velocity of the projectile. It is observed that the yield of H 2 + increases with q/v of t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
