Purpose – The changes that occurred in the market, resulting from technological advancement, made companies pay attention to innovation in their processes, products or services, as a way to stand out. To enhance innovation in companies, focusing on leadership is an effective way. In this sense, the present study aimed to develop a model in order to list the priorities related to leadership and its interface with innovation, under the top management perspective of a telecommunications company.Design/methodology/approach – For the development of the model, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy-AHP) method was used to identify such factors and the best alternatives so that the investigated company can make consistent decisions. Thus, the criteria chosen by the Manager and Director were discovered, as well as the alternatives that they cherish, contributing to the development of innovation within the company.Findings – The results showed that the perception of the two interviewees was similar, however, it is emphasized that they should better choose how to apply innovation within the company.Originality/value – This study opens the way to highlight the importance of the theme of leadership and its interface with innovation for professionals in the management area, favoring decision making, in addition to contributing to the literature, deepening the debate on the theme of leadership and innovation, which is still incipient and needs development.

The research aims to analyze the patterns of similarities of skills and abilities signaled in job advertisements for an accountant position, from the guidelines of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), under the light of signaling theory. To achieve the objective, a content analysis was carried out on 200 job advertisements for an accountant position on the “Catho” and “LinkedIn” websites. Through descriptive statistics, the competencies and skills most demanded by the market were identified and later, with cluster analysis, the advertisements from different organizations were grouped. The study shows, as requirements for hiring, professionals who demonstrate, in addition to the technical skills exclusive to Accountants, emerging skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork. Three job profiles were highlighted based on the competencies/skills that companies require when hiring accountants: languages; financial reporting and taxation, accounting management. The contribution of this research is to provide institutions, educators and professionals in the area, with insights into the requirements demanded by the job market for accounting professionals, and they can use this information for a constant professional update, aiming to meet the real needs of companies.

A pesquisa objetiva analisar os padrões de semelhanças das competências e habilidades sinalizadas em anúncios de emprego para vaga de contador, a partir das diretrizes da International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), sob a luz da teoria da sinalização. Para a consecução do objetivo foi realizada uma análise de conteúdo em 200 anúncios de emprego para cargo de Contador nos sites “Catho” e “LinkedIn”. Por meio da estatística descritiva identificaram-se as competências e habilidades mais exigidas pelo mercado e, posteriormente, com a análise de cluster, os anúncios de diferentes organizações foram agrupados. O estudo evidencia como requisitos para contratação, profissionais que demonstrem além das competências técnicas privativas dos Contadores, habilidades emergentes, tais como pensamento crítico, resolução de problemas e trabalho em equipe. Três perfis de cargos foram evidenciados com base nas competências/habilidades que as empresas exigem ao contratar contadores: idiomas; relatório financeiro e tributação; e gestão contábil. A contribuição desta pesquisa consiste em fornecer às instituições, educadores e profissionais da área, insights sobre os requisitos exigidos pelo mercado de trabalho ao profissional contábil, e estes podem utilizar-se dessas informações para uma constante atualização profissional, visando atender as reais necessidades das empresas.
