Haemangiomas and Other Non‐malignant Tumours of Infancy
Lea Solman,
Mary T. Glover
Abstract:Vascular anomalies are broadly categorised as either tumours or malformations. Vascular tumours are characterised by cellular proliferation, whilst vascular malformations represent a localised defect in vascular morphogenesis. Vascular tumours may be benign, locally aggressive or borderline, or malignant. The more frequently encountered benign and borderline vascular tumours encountered in infancy are described in this chapter.
