Haematopinus suis Infestation in Pig Farms in Busogo Sector, Rwanda

Abstract: Haematopinus suis(H. suis) is a common ectoparasite of pigs and is economically important worldwide. H. suis is responsible for anemia and poor feed conversion rate that lead to poor growth in pig husbandry. This study assessed the prevalence and risk factors of H. suis in pigs through a cross-sectional survey in Busogo sector of Musanze district.
