HALL EFFECT, THERMOPOWER AND ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY OF DOPED RuSr2GdCu2O8 SYSTEM

Abstract: Polycrystalline samples of Ru 1−x SbxSr 2 GdCuO 8 doped with Sb, in which magnetic order and superconductivity coexist with T magnetic Tc, were prepared by a solid state reaction technique. Lattice parameters, electrical resistivity, Hall and thermopower coefficients measurements on the same sintered ceramic samples are presented. Both Hall effect and thermopower show anomalous decreases below T magnetic which might be explained with a simple two-band model in the RuO 2 layer at T magnetic . It was also observe… Show more

“…Hall measurement was used in material investigation often, for semiconductors especially [1]. It has been used for investigation of polycrystalline and superconductivity [2,3], canonical spin glass [4], superconduc-tors based on semiconductor (Si, Ge) substrate [5], and high temperature superconductors [2]. Lately, the quantum Hall effect [6,7] has become very interesting.…”
