Abstract:A Gram-strain-negative, rod-shaped, aerobic bacterium, designated strain TRM 85114T, was isolated from the Jincaotan wetland in the Pamir Plateau of China. We identified this isolate was a novel species with an ability to degrade 1-naphthylamine. Strain grew optimally at 30 ℃ and pH 6.0 in the presence of 3% (w/v) NaCl.
