Handling, Treatment, and Disposal of Produced Water in the Offshore Oil Industry

AbstractSeveral liquid/liquid hydrocyclones and disc-stack centrifuges were evaluated to determine their performance in removing dispersed oil and to establish the domain of their operation. Results of pilot tests at the Westhollow Technology Center and the full-scale field trials in GOM are summarized.
