“…He introduces the perspective of measurement of values (see also Bachika and Schulz, 2011), especially altruism (as diligence in promoting the good of others even at the expense of one’s own good) (Bykov, 2017), which enriches and adds a degree of complexity to the analysis. “…The second concept is that the ethical principles developed in the robotics field can be well used in autonomous vehicle control, taking into account that we are dealing with similar devices with similar autonomy in a different context. Autonomy of robotic and vehicle systems has been interpreted by [14]. Work of Millar [15] provides a tool for autonomous vehicles and robotic systems, with which their decision making processes can be evaluated.…”

“…In recent years, motivated by factors, including societal divisions, global crises, and growing inequality; political scientists (Putnam, 2021); philosophers (Sandel, 2020); economists (Ostrom, 1990; Reich, 2018; Tirole, 2019); sociologists (Etzioni, 2018); religious leaders (Sacks, 2020); and public health experts (Christakis, 2020) have revived theories of the common good. We believe that the behavioral sciences have much to offer to the common good, but in order to do so, they require a coherent framework that can guide theory, research, and action.…”
