Sanayileşmenin tetiklediği bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler yoğun bir kentleşme sürecini başlatmış, bu ise nüfus hızında ve kentsel yapılaşmada artışı beraberinde getirmiştir. Kentsel alanlarda yapı malzemesi olarak kullanılan, beton ve asfalt gibi albedo (yansıtma) değeri düşük yapısal yüzey malzemeleri ısıyı içerisinde hapsederek kent içerisinde hava sıcaklığında artışa neden olmuştur. Bir kentin çevresindeki kırsal alanlara göre daha sıcak olması kentsel ısı adası olgusu olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Bu olgu kentte yaşayan insanları fiziksel ve ruhsal açıdan olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. İnsanların bulunduğu kentin atmosferik koşullarına karşı uyarılmadığı ve konforlu hissetmeleri Biyoklimatik Konfor olarak tanımlanır. Matzarakis ve Höppe’in oluşturmuş olduğu PET indeksi çizelgesine göre 18. 1 – 23. 0 ̊C sıcaklık değerleri arasında insanların kendilerini daha iyi hissettiği ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu değerlerin artış ya da düşüş göstermesi kentte yaşayan insanlarda ruhsal açıdan daha stresli, çalışma isteğinde düşüş hissetmelerine neden olurken fiziksel açıdan göz yanması, burun kanaması gibi sağlık problemlerini beraberinde getirir. Ele alınan bu çalışmada Akdeniz ikliminin yoğun bir şekilde hissedildiği Kahramanmaraş ilinin biyoklimatik konfor şartları ele alınmıştır. Çalışma alanına ait 1970 -2021 yılları arasında meteorolojik ölçüm verileri bölgedeki meteoroloji istasyonlarından temin edilmiştir. Bu veriler doğrultusunda sıcaklık, bağıl nem ve rüzgâr hızı haritaları oluşturulmuş sonrasında PET indeksi değerleri ile ilişkilendirilmiştir.

In addition to the increase in the temperature of the world due to climate change, air pollution is increasing as a result of human activities. Air pollution is increasing as a result of industrial activities, heating, and motor vehicles. This situation causes disorders in the respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems in humans. In addition, air pollution does a great deal of harm to the ecosystem. In recent years, it has been observed that air pollution caused by industry and traffic also harms agriculture and deteriorates the quality of the products grown. It has been observed that air pollution causes developmental disorders and decreased photosynthesis in many plant species. Studies shown that grains, which are the main food source all over the world, are greatly affected by air pollution and can harm human health by mixing with the food chain.

Freshwater resources are used for many purposes such as drinking, tap water, industrial usage and agricultural irrigation. Although unpolluted surface waters and groundwater are preferred for the irrigation of landscape plants in parks and gardens, snowmelt water is generally ignored. Like other precipitation types, snow can absorb solid and liquid substances in the atmosphere and it can rain on the earth with its natural chemical structure changed. Also, this water from snowmelt which includes different chemicals can enter surface waters and groundwater resources. In this study, the snowmelt water quality in outdoor green areas of the Van Province was examined. Some physico-chemical features (pH, conductivity, salinity, Ca, Mg, total hardness, Cl, NO 3 -N, NO 2 -N, SO 4 , and PO 4 ) of the snow samples were taken at monthly intervals from six sampling stations between the
