Hazards of Anaesthesia: A Comprehensive Review

Abstract: BACKGROUND A recent survey by WHO has revealed that 75% of the anaesthetists suffer from some kind of stress. Another study showed that 25% of professionals found to have substance abuse were anaesthetists. This implies that Anaesthesiology offers high occupational risk compared to other health care professionals.
