Hybrid broadcast broadband TV is a technique providing Push-VoD services over an interactive hybrid TV. These services are broadcast using a file delivery protocol (FDP), which includes different coding strategies to ensure reliable delivery. This protocol is characterized by three levels of data representation giving rise to segmentation of packet losses, which may result in poor recovery capabilities. This paper provides a first thorough investigation of the coding FDP framework for reliable delivery of Push-VoD service over DVB networks. We propose Markov modeling for characterizing inter-layer loss propagation within FDP on a wide variety of burst erasure channels. Based on this analytical analysis and a simulation study, we determine the possible recovering areas and the accurate loss measurements within FDP. The latter is then used to effectively investigate and configure the different coding strategies provided within FDP. In addition, we present a suitable recovering strategy for FDP, which guarantees transmission robustness against the broadcast network impairments. The evolution of audiovisual technologies is shifting the foundations of the sectors involved such as advertising. The incorporation of HbbTV into the television offering implies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. To identify these, a qualitative Delphi investigation was carried out. It is concluded that personalization, more individual consumption, and new formats are opportunities, while OTT services represent the main threat. In any case, advertisers will be able to carry out more effective and efficient campaigns. Resumen La evolución tecnológica en el audiovisual está moviendo los cimientos de sectores implicados, como la producción y la circulación de contenidos, lo que impacta de lleno en el ámbito publicitario. La incorporación del HbbTV a la oferta televisiva implica fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas. Para detectarlas, se llevó a cabo una investigación cualitativa Delphi. Se concluye que la personalización, un consumo más individual y los nuevos formatos son oportunidades, y que los servicios OTT son la principal amenaza. En todo caso, los anunciantes podrán llevar a cabo campañas más efectivas y eficientes.
