HDECAY: a program for Higgs boson decays in the Standard Model and its supersymmetric extension

Abstract: We describe the Fortran code HDECAY † , which calculates the decay widths and the branching ratios of the Standard Model Higgs boson, and of the neutral and charged Higgs particles of the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. The program is self-contained (with all subroutines included), easy to run, fast and calculates the decay widths and branching ratios according to the current theoretical knowledge. † The program may be obtained from

“…Resummation has been performed to NNLL in QCD for the ggF process. For the decay, the calculation of the branching fraction is computed using the H → WW Ã and H → ZZ Ã partial widths from PROPHECY4f [65] and the width of all other decays from HDECAY [66]. …”

“…(Tevatron constraints are not relevant for the present region in parameter space.) The code also allows to compute the various Higgs decay branching ratios through a suitable generalization of HDECAY [16] to the NMSSM.…”

“…We restrict the present work to the low mass region, 120 < m A < 160 GeV, primarily because the (22) -becomes negligible [37] as the SM mode H 0 SM → W + W − opens up around 160 GeV as shown in Figure 5 where we assume κ τ µ = 1. We take as a reference the parameters of set 2 in Table I for comparison with the MSSM case without loss of generality.…”
