Abstract: Japanese adults typically have healthier lipid profiles than American and European adults, who have been associated with a lower prevalence of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Many Japanese also have uniquely elevated levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).
