“…7 There are case reports of early to mid-adulthood presentations of complete heart block in association with dextrocardia. 8,9 This phenomenon could possibly be due to idiopathic degeneration of the conduction system or delayed requirement for cardiac pacing associated with congenital heart block.…”

“…These factors would require additional testing, use of contrast, and could potentially result in longer procedure times. Also, transvenous leads are exposed to added stress due to the angle generated by the abnormal course of the superior vena cava relative to the reversed position of the right atrium and ventricle in patients with dextrocardia [4].…”

“…Although knowledge of Chagas disease is always increasing, little is known about patients living with it and congenital anatomic abnormalities such as dextrocardia, situs inversus totalis, or others. This could be explained because it is a relatively rare condition; for example, its prevalence in the United States is estimated at about 2 patients per 10 000-20 000 inhabitants (21).…”

“…Changes in electrocardiography and imaging scans are helpful diagnostic aids, but clinical approach, clinical judgment and suspicion are also needed (22,23). Inverted P, QRS, and T waves in D1, as well as a progressive increase in R waves in precordial leads, are common electrocardiographic findings (21).…”
