Abstract:Three propargyl ether thermosetting resins were prepared
from biosynthetic trans-resveratrol (1), cis-resveratrol (2), and dihydroresveratrol
(3). The cure chemistry of the monomers as well as the
thermal stability
and mechanical properties of cross-linked networks were then characterized
by techniques including differential scanning calorimetry, thermal
gravimetric analysis, and dynamic mechanical analysis. The monomers
were highly processable, existing as low melting solids (1, T

Three bio-based propargyl ether thermosetting resins with trans-stilbene cores were synthesized from p-coumaric (CD), ferulic (FD), and sinapic (SD) acid, respectively. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis of these materials indicated...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
