"Heatless-cure" coating of electrical windings-update '95

Abstract

This is the 4th in a series of Technical Paperspresented each year at the annual EMCWA Convention in Chicago beginning in '92 describing a new process for coating electrical windings for motors, generators, and coils, and explaining its many benefits. The process called nEeatless-Curen trickle coating uses specially formulated resins that will cure chemically without a post heat-cure or baking process. It can reduce energy consumption and harmful emissions by 90%, and it facilitates the concepts of nWork-Celln and "Just-In-Timen Manufacturing. It will reduce in-process inventory, material handling, storage, and the overall manufacturing cycle. The net result will be an increase in inventory turnovers which will lower manufacturing costs and increase plant capacity. The machinery is
