“…8, Notes.-Although Thamnostylum lucknowense was described from India, the several isolates from the United States and Mexico reported here suggest that it is widely distributed. The species was discussed most recently by Upadhyay ( 1973). It grows readily on a variety of media and at temp eratures of 25-30 C forms a dense turf that within 2-3 wk fills the interior of a 2 x 8.5-cm Petri dish.…”
