Hemangioma of the Umbilical Cord: A Case Report

Abstract: Background: Hemangioma is one of the umbilical cord anomalies and it is arising from the remnants of embryo hemangioblasts. It is associated with increased perinatal morbidity and mortality. Case report: We describe an umbilical cord hemangioma that was identified in antenatal period. The patient was referred to our hospital for further evaluation of omphalocele that was noticed at gestational age of 29 week.
