Hematology and Oncology Fellow Education About Sexual and Reproductive Health

Abstract

We read with interest the recent article by Reese et al 1 on hematology and oncology fellow education about sexual and reproductive health. The authors' survey provides important information about the scarcity of training in sexual and reproductive health for oncology fellows and thoughtful recommendations for improving the situation. However, the authors provide little or no information about the provision of culturally appropriate health care for sexual and gender minority (SGM) oncology patients, including cancer survivors who have completed primary therapy for their condition.
