Hemodialysis Exacerbates Proteolytic Imbalance and Pro-fibrotic Platelet Dysfunction

Abstract: Multi-organ fibrosis among end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients cannot be explained by uremia alone. Despite mitigation of thrombosis during hemodialysis (HD), subsequent platelet dysfunction and tissue dysregulation are less understood.
