Abstract:Single and multiple intravenous doses of 0.5 to 10 mg quinaprilat are well-tolerated and produce favorable dose-dependent hemodynamic effects and hormonal changes consistent with those expected of an ACE inhibitor in patients with NYHA class III and IV congestive heart failure.
“…A study by Mitrovic et al [10,11] determined that quinaprilat increased cardiac index by 25% in patients with heart failure. Müller et al examined the effects of intravenous quinaprilat in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery.…”

“…The plasma half-life of quinaprilat is 2 h in healthy male subjects [9]. In a previous study, the haemodynamic effects of quinaprilat in patients with severe heart failure proved beneficial, although moderate [10,11].…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
