“…A recent report from China described the case of cholangiocarcinoma sarcoma who had been initially diagnosed with bile duct stones by B-ultrasound and had undergone a biliary stent implantation after failed ERCP lithotripsy[ 1 ]. During the subsequent laparoscopic choledochotomy, blood vessels were observed at the root of the stone, which prompted further investigation by narrow band imaging (NBI); histological staining confirmed the presence of blood vessels, supporting the possibility that the stone-like mass could actually be a tumor.…”
