Abstract:This chapter provides taxonomy, description of the agent, epidemiology and transmission, clinical significance, direct detection, isolation procedures, identification and typing, serologic tests, and antiviral susceptibilities of Herpes Simplex viruses (HSVs) and Herpes B virus.
