Herstellung elektro-optischer Verdrahtungsträger mittels konventioneller Leiterplattentechnologien

Abstract

Manufacturing of electro-optical circuit boards with conventional PWB technologies.A technology, the so called waveguide-in-copper technology, for the realization of optical interconnections on the printed wiring board is presented. This technology exclusively deploys manufacturing steps which are present standard processes in PWB fabrication. First results of reliability and optical characterization will be described.
