Heterogeneity and Cross-Sectional Dependence in Panels: Heterogeneous vs. Homogeneous Estimators

Abstract: This paper focuses on the comparison of homogeneous and heterogeneous panel data estimators, including partially heterogeneous ones, in presence of cross-sectional dependence generated by common factors and spatial error dependence.
