Heteroleptic Palladium(II) Complexes of Thiazolinyl‐picolinamide Derived NNN Pincer Ligand: An Efficient Catalyst for Acylative Suzuki Coupling Reactions

Abstract: Synthesis, reactivity, characterization, and catalytic activities of a series of palladium(II) complexes containing the thiazolinyl-picolinamide derived pincer ligand is reported. Treatment of 2-aminobenzonitrile with cysteamine and subsequent treatment with 2-picolinic acid afforded the thiazolinyl-picolinamide derived tridentate pincer ligand N \ N \ N (2). Treatment of 2 either with (COD)PdCl 2 or PdCl 2 in 1 : 1 ratio afforded the palladium(II) complex [(k 3 -N \ N \ N)PdCl] (3). A reaction between Pd(OAc)… Show more

“…Both strains were grown on soybean casein digest (SCD) agar (HiMedia) plates and incubated at 37 • C. Isolated colonies from the streaked plates were cultured in SCD broth and incubated at 37 • C under shaking conditions. Palladium(II)-based thiazolinyl picolinamide metal complex was synthesized and characterized by NMR [25]. The brief synthetic method for the complex is given here.…”

“…Hence, it is a prime requisite for any anti-infective compound to be coated on the biomaterial to have the ability to alleviate biofilms, support host cell attachment, and facilitate tissue integration [ 5 , 24 ]. To deal with antimicrobial resistance, we have synthesized novel thiazolinyl picolinamide complexes [ 25 ]. Our previous studies manifested that coating a Palladium(II) complex of N ∩ N ∩ N chelating thiazolinyl-picolinamide on a titanium implant effectively thwarted the virulence and biofilms of vital orthopedic implant infection-causing pathogens MRSA and A. baumannii [ 26 , 27 ].…”
