Hierarchical Co@C-N synthesized by the confined pyrolysis of ionic liquid@metal–organic frameworks for the aerobic oxidation of alcohols

Abstract: Co@C-N with hierarchical pores and highly active sites is synthesized by the pyrolysis of an ionic liquid@metal–organic framework.

“…To study the influence of temperature on the degree of graphitization and defect structure of the derived materials, we performed Raman spectroscopy analysis on Br-CN-1- T ( T = 450, 550, 650, 750). In Raman spectroscopy analysis, ∼1318 cm –1 corresponds to amorphous carbon (D peak) and ∼1595 cm –1 belongs to graphitized carbon (G peak). Furthermore, defects in carbon-based nanostructures can be calculated by the intensity ratio of amorphous carbon to graphitized carbon ( I D / I G ). It can be seen from Figure S16 that the I D / I G value dropped sharply from 2.04 to 1.68 as the pyrolysis temperature increased from 450 to 750 °C.…”
