High bacterial and viral load in the upper respiratory tract of children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Abstract: Background Respiratory pathogens including Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae , are implicated in the pathogenicity of acute lower respiratory infection (ALRI).
