Abstract:Mechanisms /Iodine hot atoms /cis-2-pentene
SummaryReactions of recoil iodine produced by the 12, I(n, γ) 12> I nuclear reaction with cis-2-pentene were studied in gaseous and liquid phase system with rare gas additives, and in the presence or absence of radical scavengers (I 2 and 0 2 ). It was found that the cis-2-pentene system is dominated by I + and I ^-dependent ion-molecule reactions similar to those postulated for the ciî-2-butene and methylpropene systems. While the diverse and complex nature of the e… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
