High Frequency of Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis in Patients With Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome

Abstract: Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is known to be associated with metabolic syndrome and with obesity in particular. The prevalence of DISH increases with age, with an average of 10% in those aged 70 years and older.
